I am putting the finishing touches on a world atlas of genography. After a thorough literature search there are a few large ethnic groupings for whom y-dna data seems to be absent or incompletely assayed. The attached file called 'needed.xls' contains a list of these needed ethnic groupings along with some key identifying information (please excuse spelling errors). The second file contains a list of a few large ethnic groupings for whom some y-dna data does exist, but is insufficiently detailed. I am looking for better data for these groups. Does anyone have data for these groupings or know where I can find any of these data? At the moment I am working solely on y-dna haplotypes so please limit your responses to y-dna data only. BTW, the atlas is open sourced at http://dna.xyvy.info. If authorized, respondents will be acknowledged in the 'Credits' on the site.

This are the haplotype frequencies for garifuna population from Honduras. The data is unpublished, and I ithin it won`t be published beacause we are working in a bigger project. Credits are for Mireya Matamoros, and Edwin Francisco Herrera Paz.

Thank you again for this important haplotype contribution. I will do the haplogroup analysis here and return to you for review. I wonder if it is possible to provide some information about the sample? How did you select the 29 individuals? What is the geographical distribution? And so on.

I have uploaded the file GarifunaHg with proposed Hg table. The four H6 are less certain than the others. Please review.

I am sending you 2 files. One is an update of the prior file. I put in sheet 2 the haplotypes from individuals. Subjects which number is accompanied by a letter C are from Corozal; letter I stands for Iriona, and letter B for Bajamar. There is one subject marked with MM. The community of this one is unknown, but is absolutely from the Honduran Caribbean coasts.
The second file is a paper with allelic frequencies of autosomal markers. The subjects are the same. You can find the information of the population there.
Best.

If you can share with me the information regarding Garifuna relations with other populations I would appreciate it very much.
